VINTAGE KNITTING PATTERN
Young Boys Waistcoat.
 
This is a Patons pattern for double knitting.
6 sizes from 6 years upwards, 26-36" chest.
You will need between 6oz and 10oz of yarn and 5 or 6 buttons.
This pattern is later than 1940 but is still the same style of garment.

Due to the age of the pattern the yarn mentioned may not be available and the needle sizes may have changed. But that is all part of the fun of knitting vintage!
 
We recommend that you practice knitting a tension square to find which modern yarn and needle sizes works best.
